Our Ethnos is as diverse as it is rich. Traditional clothing not only expresses regional identity but also the spirit. These garments are infused with imagination and codices, the essence of our existence, markings, and symbolism, all in the form of a signal of our journey through existence. Folk costumes are undoubtedly one of the most powerful manifestations of traditional culture. They inherit and transmit many elements from ancient and medieval times, but they also express cultural relationships with other peoples throughout the centuries.
Albanian folklore, in all its components, chronicles our journey through the diversity and colors, shapes, and compositions, capturing the unmatched values and attributes that define the Albanian national identity. This geographical affiliation, encompassing Shkodra and Lezha, best demonstrates the preservation of Albanian culture and tradition across generations, particularly through its typical Zadrimë costumes. This ethnographic value, which continues to be passed down from generation to generation among the inhabitants of Zadrima, is not institutionalized in a specific museum. This would be a way to preserve these ethnographic values and showcase them to visitors as national treasures. Zadrimë costumes are kept in old chests or in the trousseaus of brides, who display them during regional events.
